Fruits Land Yamagata Orchards is where fruits are cultivated amidst the nature of Yamagata. The orchards place an emphasis on cultivating cherries as well as apples, Japanese pears, peaches, plums, and more.

The cherry-picking season at Fruits Land Yamagata Orchards is from the middle of June to the middle of July. You can pick sweet and delicious cherries to eat at 1600 yen for adults and 900 yen for children (30 minute limit).

It is recommended to go cherry picking in the morning. There are times when Yamagata summer mornings get as cold as 20°C. As a result, cherries picked in the morning are chilled, perfect bites.

There are four cherry varieties that are cultivated at the orchards; Sato Nishiki cherries, large Benishuho cherries that have a strong, sweet flavor, sweet Taisho Nishiki cherries that stay good for a long time, and Nanyo cherries that are characterized by their thin skin and light taste. Please try and compare each flavor to find your favorite cherry variety.

Fruits Land Yamagata Orchards is located on land with great water drainage on a mountain slope. Furthermore, sweet, delicious cherries can be grown at the orchards due to the orchards’ use of red soil that is suitable for fruit cultivation. There is also the fact that they take care in not using herbicides in the orchards. Though weeding does take time, the cherries that are harvested at the orchards have a sweetness that is safe to eat.

Please visit and taste cherries that have been grown with great care.
